CoViD Tests - Stop me and try one
The weather is heating up and we emerge from long lockdown to form queues for ice cream. Is this a missed opportunity?
I posted this idea on Twitter back in April - ice cream vans were idle then and we had (and still do, tbh) a drastic shortfall in testing infrastructure. Seemed a good idea to mobilise these units with refrigeration and storage and a nice little ring tone into communities, taking professional testers to the masses. SO much easier than sending (symptomatic, therefore sick) people to queue in car parks for hours to be swabbed or the tortuous process of postal DIY testing.
So now as well as getting icecream, can we get tested while we wait. perhaps even throw in a free flake?
